People sometimes asked me about the inspiration for a particular painting. As an artist I was always at a loss of words; for how does one describe creativity and emotion? One day, I started reading the poetry poster-framed on the rail downtown. A daily habit quickly became a curiosity and soon I discovered writing poetry was an instinctive, natural outlet.
To me, poetry and painting are a metaphor for capturing the pure essence of reality or challenging one's biased perspective of it. My poems and paintings are personal, interchangeable forms of expression to the senses.
