Its open for interpretation, really,
this canvas painted in blue hue tones,
carrying a certain coolness,
abstract yet metaphorical,
an ice cube perhaps,
tempering the humidity of summer,
or, maybe a visible inflection in the current,
of a bug skittering across water,
or, even a piece of crushed glass in kaleidoscope fractures.
I don’t really know myself, to be honest,
it seemed to take a life of its own,
divine intervention almost,
a willing brush inspired like a Bible minded writer,
not to be fully comprehended until some years later,
perhaps what Picasso felt in one of his maddening periods.
So, here is a painting laid before you,
seeking purpose and meaning,
even neglected by the artist,
seeking a well-placed vantage on your white wall,
to be pondered, puzzled over,
this canvas creation awaiting your inspired late night dream.
