Tan In Purple

You see the world differently in purple shades,

like the purple turtles scampering upon a blue encrusted log,

sunning themselves among yellow lilies dotting murky shallows,

feeling cold blood warm to ambient equilibrium.

You see people different too;

some with glowing red auras, meaning frustration,

to be avoided until further notice,

others pulsating in rapid heartbeat hues,

inviting a wink to await their keyboard response,

still others, subdued within blue contentment,

hanging a sign on their door “Do Not Disturb-Sleeping”.

A visual spectrum,

focuses the iris of this tricked eye,

impressionistic forms loosely held together,

almost    sliding

                                                     off

                                                                              this wet

                                                                                            runny

                                                                                                            page    .
